With the advent of the new launcher, Civ6 is now almost unplayable for me, due to multiple QtWebEngineProcess.exe runaway processes that just keep getting spawned and get bigger using more resources the longer I play.
It gets to the point that I am running an 16GB i7 at 60-80% cpu usage all the time. This is just farcical. I would suggest that if anyone is having random hardware crashes playing Civ6, it is going to be caused by this.
The simple solution is to just open the task manager periodically and kill all the QtWebEngine Processes, but this is daft. I shouldn't have to do this.
And yes it is linked to Civ6 as these processes ONLY start when I am running Civ6. Why was it necessary to add this? I seem to suffer no ill effects from killing the process.
Am I the only on that has this issue?
