Outside of Mod broswer(I love) - everyone else feel modding is way more difficult?

In Civ IV, I did all my modding in a text editor: Ultraedit. I had my directory and the files needed and would boot them up and edit.

If I go the route of using just the SDK + Modbuddy stuff, it takes me 10x as long to do what I did before. Is this just me? Is everyone else finding making simple edits a lot more laborious?

Well, I find that modbuddy is really no different than going through the folders themselves. It takes just as much time as before for me. If anything this glorified text editor makes organizing slightly easier and may save me some 1 - 2 seconds in that field, oh and it's ability to look at the Civ V lua wiki that's been made from the threads on this forum that happens to already be on a tab in Firefox. However when I get to the build requirement and going through the whole mod browser window easily takes back 8 sec. All in all, I could do without ModBuddy, but Firetuner is the thing I pay the most attention to, similar to Civ IV's world builder and has less of one ability but more of another. And what abilities FireTuner doesn't have over Civ IV's WB, Civ V's WB has or I could easily add a lua function to do something in FT.
