Overrated games

@Lord Draegon

Good to see we both love FF!

How is FF7 overrated?

I think *BLEEP* 3 is ovverated, *BLEEP* 2 is far better!

What games do you like then? You ruled out almost all my favourite games as overrated.
Well, I like the GOOD ones : Torment, Baldur 2, Diablo 1, Starcraft/Warcraft series, Total War serie, Civ serie, Half-Life 1, Doom serie, Far Cry, Deus Ex 1, Total Annihilation and countless more.

Sorry if you like overrated game, but that's hardly my fault :p

ffII is overrated and FF IV is FF II on steriods so...
(but they are excellent)
(but i was a bit down)
also overrated:
birthright gorgons alliance, counterstrike condition zero(so easy omg)
civ I
and of course THUG 2

First of all, Halo 1 and 2 were the biggest dissapointments EVER. The storyline seemed boring from before I actually played it, but my friends kept reassuring me the control scheme and stuff was awesome. The biggest load of bull**** I ever heard in my life. I played a multiplayer match of Halo and Halo 2 at school, and it was so freakin' boring. Maybe it was just my attitude towards Xbox, but I'm pretty sure that it was the endless walking in circles and blindly shooting a hard-to-aim machine gun for 5 minutes in a row. Hopefully the single-player mode isn't as God-awful as the multiplayer experience, and all the hype was worth it.
Grand Theft Auto sucked too. It was just real life, except in it I'm a murderer and bandit. It's too much like The Sims to be fun. I can work out, play basketball, and do all of the legal activities in real life without paying 50$ for a game that was obviously created for lesser-minded people in my age range (weak minded 12-14 year-olds).

Overated: Medieval: Total War

The only one of the series I really played, and the stratagy map thing just didn't work right - it needed to be more like civ.

Maybe Rise of Nations. It was good, but quickly lost appeal.

Half life 2 single player is a bit weak, but CS source made it all worth while. I have two friends though who, for some reason, it won't install for, and they're not too keen on it.

Super Mario Brothers, without a doubt.

Pretty much all console games seem extraordinarily lame to me. It's not even fun when you get drunk and play.

On the PC side, Sims has to take the cake. After you build your house, it's just stupid.

Diablo 2 also sucked. I was never all that impressed with Warcraft 2 either.

That's underated, not over.

Metroid Prime might seem overrated, but only if you play it as an FPS. Which it isn't.

Halo.

Diablo
I cant see how clicking on monsters is fun.....

Sims-good for an hour or two but gets boring quickly. All you do is live someone elses life for them.

This should be renamed to "Games from genres you don't like"

I am completely on that Sims bandwagon. What an excruciatingly boring game. Even building the house is boring. Ooh! How fun it is to tell my guy to drink coffee! Ok, now go to the bathroom! You wanna take a nap? Ok *click click click* I just don't see what other people see in it.

I thought Half Life 2 was pretty over-rated. It seemed to me just an elaborate tech demo. The storyline was way short too but at least there are mods coming out for it like that Garry mod v5 which ironically is more interesting than the single player campaign.
