The point is that building a questionnaire with that mistake will under or over represent certain groupings. My guess is that a lot of people would choose as you did - but that's still likely to screw up the demographics.

I know - I get the point. Hopefully the results won't be used to sell ads on the site.

I think it'd be better if the groupings were 18-35 and 36-65. That way I could be in the young group.

Generally speaking, when people that age are already decent-to-good at games like THIS, their gaming potential when they get older is just scary. Not everyone enjoys it enough to pursue it for long enough, but those that do...wow.

I'm sixteen. I'd guess the average age here to be around 25ish. That's more based on OT though because obviously age matters more there but it's adjusted to what I see here.

31. Though, I'm not sure how much actual influence it may have had--started playing Civ II quite independently in '97-- besides just distributing the name, brother had original card game prior to 1991, at least. Anyway, lots of history-oriented school, which had supported the obsession.

I'm old enough to vaugly remember Civ 1, but I never played it, my friend was raving and ranting out it, though. In high school I got addicted to Civ 2, and then in first year of uni I got addicted to Civ 3. I should be done a master's by now, and am addicted to Civ4, yet I'm on my 7th yr of undergrad - which I blame on Civ. (Okay, I've been working almost full time the whole time, so not all Civ's fault).
@TMIT: you are about to finish grad school and yet are still very active on these fora? Good for you man, I wish I knew how you do it.

I'd rather not say, but i am 12 which is realy young (not looking to be much older if all this 2012 stuff turns out to be true). I'm sure im not the only 12 year old civ player out there.
