I have a limited knowledge of computers so ill just notify use of that in advance.

I had civilization revolution for ps3 and this has inspired me to buy cinvilization 4 so i bought it from morrisons for £5. my p.c is old but its still a pritty good p.c even by todays standards and it meets the minimum requirments.
I had the fail instilization thing everyone else had with the radeon cards and ive been reading through forums for the best part of 3 hours now then i realized that there was a 1.61 patch already ready for download when I run the disk so ive downloaded that but I cant find were it has saved the patch so I cant run it so can anyone help me. were did it save it on ure p.c or are there any simple ways of finding it.

oh yes and before i forget after i downloaded the patch it got past the fail instilization part but comes up with change the format and something to do with 3d at the end - on a forum i was reading (tech guide or something like that i think) the guy said something about running the patch but the problem being i cant find the patch

If you're using XP, the patch will most likely be found in your "My Documents" folder, as long as you downloaded it from somewhere like CFC. (The downloads section for example.)

If you did it in-game, I believe the patch is applied automatically after it is downloaded, and the same with 1.74.

When you first start the game, there is an information screen you can click to and look at, but I can't remember what it's called. Sorry. But the version of the patch will be shown there.
