No takers yet? Map is good for people playing lower difficulties.
T50
Spoiler:
I think with an EXP leader 2N is best. Massive gains from ph-capital and not much damage from losing fresh water. Went for very similar play as in the Boudica-lakes map. Got the library already in cap, which is why I'm very slow in expansion. Maybe 3rd worker was a mistake, too. Oh well, with maths soon I can chop settlers. Plan is to run scientists non-stop in capital starting from T52, which means GS:s are out T69 and T103. Perhaps I should get the 2nd guy in a different city to speed it up a bit. With such research power it should be 400BC engineering. Map is really big so probably won't win before 1000AD.
yes this map is an easy immortal map, good for people who are just moving up to immortal.
Spoilert50 :
I settled 1E to grab the second corn in the capital bfc. and with the 3 hammer plains hill forest i would get a worker a turn 14, which i think was not to bad
It's not too bad, but it's worse than a 11T worker. You are ahead in in GS-production but behind even my slow expansion.
T100
Spoiler:
T99 engineering. Sacrificed Lakamha to work scientists, not the best city for it but saw no other way to speed up 2nd GS. Used barb city in north to train my cats to 5xp. Pericles started plotting some 5T ago, gifted him to pleased and begged but fist didn't go away, so I don't think it's on me. Charlie is isolated and thus the natural first victim, despite being a hill-sprawling protective prick. Maybe Mansa? He is receiving a ramming from the bad boys already.
Have some holkans and 3 cats. Should be able to attack say T105.
Turns out Pericles was after my barb city after all. Guy even had a decent stack, I think I killed like 15 units from him. A bit annoying that it tied a lot of my troops but harvested some xp, gg-points and CoL+100g moneys in peace deal. Mansa got a good spanking from Brennus so I bought him off with MC+HBR+aesth that everyone had and peace-vassaled the whippersnapper. People won't like that but not a big deal.
Knights are not far, but I lack iron, so whipped a settler in capital.
Note to self: Charlemagne is a tough cookie even on immortal. Had good battle luck and got his capital with minimal losses, but had to stop as he had a lot of troops, even war elephants. My army been standing for some turns already waiting for the moment to attack again and I think the time is nigh very soon.
It's a nice city even without tiles really, I'm working a few water tiles and can use the for golden age.
Nobody else has feudalism yet even (or machinery+engineering).
All the wars were fought with pretty much the same units. Trebs did most of the work and phants+holkans the mop up job. Got steel 1100AD, but all it did was increase my power. Never attacked with a cannon, just upgraded some trebs/cats for fun in the end.
Order was Mansa(peacevassal)-Charlie-Hannibal-Brennus-HC-Pericles. Only Charlie and Brennus resisted a bit. Liberating ex-Mansa cities to him for big border pops made it a lot more convenient to take out Brennus. Got shafted pretty bad by -rng, two consecutive prophets at some 15% odds so no chemistry bulb.
