PACING EVENTS

I would like to present what GM initiatives we will utilize throughout the term.
  • 1 PM Election per Term
  • 1 National Budget per Term, each lasting a full game year (effectively the main reason we follow 1 term = 1 game year).
  • 2 Supreme Court Cases per Term, 1 every other week.
  • 1 Main National Event per Week (Strategic dilemma requiring more discussion)
  • 1 Lesser National Event per Week (Source of inspiration for overall bills)
  • We would also allow the Ministers to set into motion a term plan for each of their fields, based on the budget they get. These will be relatively simple to make.

If broad consensus is reached quickly following an event, we may throw in yet another minor event to spice things up a bit, but this will only be on very rare occasions. This still allows casual players to join, as recruitment is important, however, this time we lock MP districts, and only allow them to join vacant seats in defined cities. They got a grace period of 1 week to pick that seat.

The pacing of the game would be 1 game year = 1 term = 1 month.
This allows us to simulate the effect of annual budgets, which is key to plans and bills using years as target milestones.

For the most active players, we will set up Provincial Events. I assume only Cook Island and New Fanatica would be interested in regional politics, as the MPs with an interest for more events come from these places. This will not affect Cabinet decisions much however. Provincial events would be 1-2 events per term (again, will not affect casual players, we may ask for subforums in the style of Demogames for Civ on this.

However, should the mood change in New Alexandria and Nurlsk, we will do that as well.
