Pagan Religion

I'm a Wiccan/Pagan and well I'm curious... is there a way to make Pagan Temples? Or something? I'm just curious because if I could have a Pagan City that'd be cool.

Civ4 considers the pagans to be any civ with no religion at all.
Remember that old paganism was not like wicca for most of the people, what now are basic beleaves of wicca were known just to a few initiates in the pagan times.

Adding buildings is very easy if you know XML. You would just need to edit in a building called "Pagan Temple" into these three XML files: CIV4BuildingClassInfos.xml, CIV4BuildingInfos.xml, and CIV4CityLSystem.xml.

That last file isn't really required, but it makes the 3D model of the building show up in the city. All those files are in the Civ 4\Assets\XML\Buildings folder.

If you want to add a whole new Pagan religion to the game there are two ways to go about it. The easiest way would be to just change the name of one of the religions already in game by altering its XML files. Basically replacing that religion with Paganism.

Or you could add Paganism as an extra religion, that doesn't overide the origional ones. This second option takes a lot more time and effort, but is still very doable.

Adding a new religion isn't that insanely difficult. You just need to make a button and a greyscale button for the Religion Advisor. Then you just copy a different religion in the CIV4ReligionInfo file and edit the details. Then you tie it to a tech (or make your own) and bam, that is good eats. I am working on creating my own religions for my Harry Potter modpack.

I would really recommend creating a new religion rather than replacing an old one. If you try to replace an old one then you have to hunt down all the other things that refer to it and change their tags.

I am pretty sure there is a good Tutorial on it in the Tutorials section.

<edit> Ok, looking over it I know it looks like a fair bit of work, but in reality it takes like five minutes to actually do the coding. Making the buttons actually takes the longest. </edit>

Wicca... hm... uh I can make it easy... i guess thanks guys. Anyone else have a pre-made Wiccan Religion pack I could use though?

also anyone know where I can download some Final Fantasy Tactics like things for Civ 4? Like a whole scenario for it would be nice... but if there are any Wicca Packs made. Then please show them... please ^^ thanks.

There isn't a mod that I know of for FFT. Man, that is a really cool idea though.
