Does anyone know how to successfully pack up files into PAK files and have them loaded up without crashing the game when it starts up? I am almost ready to release the v0.1 version of the Great Options Mod, Gold edition but it takes too long to load up the files.

I was just reading this thread, don't know if you've already looked over it but this seems to be just for the art files. I don't know if you can do it for other files, but your much more experienced than I am

http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=2384 has a program for this (my file), and it can do this, but I never tried that because I have no use for it.
