Can one's palace be any more extensive than this, or is this the completed palace?

I had forgotten what the palace looks like. I don't think I've ever seen it in Conquests, since I always play with my rules or RnR.

:sigh: I miss the Civ1 Palace. That was fun.

I never played Civ1, but I do remember the Civ2 Throne Room. That was cool, especially when it started to fill with treasure. :)

LOL! I had forgotten that palace.... It sure was ugly. I do not miss the old questions though. And everyone left me if you took the wrong answer...

I liked the Civ2 throne room but while I always upgraded everything else I liked keeping the bearskins right until the end.

IIRC, the shurbbery is the last part.

My palace is more stylish:

:p

Looks great!! I often use the Asian columns with the Gothic style palace, looks like some kind of magic castle. Also sometimes just add some Middle Eastern influence to make it more varied. :D

Does anyone have screenshots of complete palaces of all cultures? Like the American one in the OP?

IIRC, the shurbbery is the last part.

The shrubbery is available early on actually. I think you need something like the lawn and the improved stairway, maybe one more item.

i assume that the palace coding is all hardcoded? can't mod that can one, like add more stuff?

Well the graphics files are all available to be changed, but their position and order of availability would be fixed. As far as I know, no one has ever done a graphics mod for the palace (except maybe someone made the Euro palace very slightly more bluish, or something trivial like that), I'm not sure why. I'd try it myself, but my MS Photo Editor has packed up.

Sometimes when i can expand my palace it doesnt tell me until a few turns later when it comes up saying i can and i can put multiple parts towards it
