Parallel Maps beta (WIP)

You make it so that you wouldn't have a 'profitable' outpost if it's just floating out in space - maybe it's useful strategically but it will cost you more than it can really produce. Make it something you want to not put everywhere you can, but only in a few key locations at most.

You'd want to get cities(stations) to take advantage of the belt mining though. Buncha beltalowdas out that way mang!
Well we don't need Cislunar space around other planets:
Originally it was meant to be only around Earth.
Mercury, Asteroid Surface, Gas Giant and their moons except Titan have Jovian map category.
But everything, that requires Jovian mapcategory also can use Solar System mapcategory.
So technically deep space colonies are Cisjovian, if they have any such terrain nearby.
There is no space building, that requires multiple different terrains at once.

In fact <PrereqAndTerrain> effectively is unused: Where it is used, only one terrain is listed there.

No but it'd be better if we did, that way we can show the moons and the planet as one space on the solar system map and show the tactical interactions in that cislunar pre-planet entry space. If there are no moons we shouldn't have need of it around that planet BUT you still lose out on the more intricate orbital battle map region if you don't.

Cislunar maps should be fairly miniature maps. You have a tile for the planet and then a tile for each lunar body and spaces around those for the orbital station(s) between, making for some 11x11 map at most in some cases (always an odd # as the planet is in its center), and somewhat crowded real estate when it comes to room for stations for the various spacefaring nation factions.

Keep in mind some units are able to go cislunar and transition for themselves between planet and its moons but wouldn't be considered to have the speed, air, or whatever to go beyond that range.

Some day I see C2C as a 2 part mod. 1st part is Caveman2Modern and the 2nd part is Information2Transcendent.

And somehow once you reach the end of Modern, the save game information can then be used to start the 2nd part with some type of translation of the save game info to fit the Start of the 2nd part. To meet it's starting setting and requirements.

Just my 2 :commerce: on an idea or wish.

I like this concept a lot!
