Passion of the Clerks

kevin smith rules!

he is awesome, i saw clerks long time ago, great movie, then again on tv recently, i was a clerk in my own store 1st time i saw it! :)

mall rats, jay and silent bob strike back sucked, dogma was awesome, chasing amy was decent

which movie am i forgetting?

That should be good. As long as Jason Mewes, Jason Lee and Ben Affleck have signed on. I've actually been trying to get all of Kevin Smith's other movies on DVD at the moment. I have Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. It's seems to be impossible to get a region 2 version of Clerks, so I'll probably just import the 10th anniversary edition. Also I kinda want the special edition of Dogma but it hasn't been released here yet, so I'll probably just end up importing it to.

What am I missing about Kevin Smith? So far I've seen "Jay and Silent Bob strike back" and "Dogma". I'm probably not in the right age group for Jay and Silent Bob anymore, I might have found them funny when I was 12, but Dogma was supposed to be witty criticism of religion - well, it wasn't really.

The best thing that "Passion of the Clerks" could be is a remake of "Life of Brian" - I'd probably almost watch it then.

Perhaps he should realise that dope-jokes aren't funny, because everyone has tried it already and most have found it not to be worth the fuzz.

Did you watch the English original or the dubbed version? The difference is extreme.

And Clerks, Chasing Amy and Mallrats are quite different from Jay & Silent Bob Strike back anyway, although the latter is funny if you know the others. And if you watch the original...

Due in theatres soon! :D

I actually saw an early screening of it back in May and it's a really good film - not sure if the guy who thinks you need to be 12 to like Jay & Bob will like it but if you're in your thirties and you wanna watch a film about people in their thirties made by a director in his thirties then this is the film for you... sorry but that 12 year old remark really made me laugh! :D

Wow, I posted in this thread a long time ago. I'm still looking forward to it, but I haven't seen anyword on a uk release date. I hope it won't be too long after the US, assuming it is even gets a cinema release here. If not I'll just buy the DVD my collection can't have a gap in it

Awesome!!!
