Patch 1.52 really, really screwed up my Civ 4

******** piece of CRAP!! Never, ever downloading a patch for a game again, no matter what the problem. I downloaded Civ 4 patch 1.52 and it made the game all twichy, and it just plain out degraded the fun of the game. Sorry, but whoever designed the patch didn't do a very good job of it. it put more problems onto the game then it already had before. Help on this would be very nice. (do I have to uninstall the game?!)

I have the problem, that some texts in menus or ingame are now in english. ok, no prob? i'm german and i installed it as a german languaged game ^^

and the memory probs are still there on my machine.. not as hard as before, but their there..

@Destruction: Need more info on your problem than just "game is twitchy" to be able to make any helpful suggestions. Do you mean it's slow? Is it the interturn or the unit movement or scrolling or what?

@sr972: The 1.52 patch has an annoying habit of resetting the config file to default values. Try opening up the Civ4.ini config file, finding the language line and changing the number to the appropriate one for your language. On my game the default is 0 for English and 2 for German, but the actual numbers may be different for yours if it's a German version of the game.

Changing "Language = 0" to "Language = 2" in the Civ4.ini config file ought to fix it if this is the problem and you have the same game version as me.

my game is playing like a slideshow as well... worked without slowness problems in previous patches. Game is now unplayable for me... waiting for next patch.
