Patch 1.52 - system has run out of memory

First of all, I cannot locate the game cache any longer! So, I uninstalled Civ 4 and deleted all Civ 4 folders in Programs and My Games, rebooted and reinstalled.

The game still has the same crash fatal errors mentioned above after all of this. Any other suggestions since the game is no longer playable at all, other than return to 1.09 (which will let me play to 1800-1900's)?

You cannot find the game cache?
It's in "documents and setting" and its a hidden folder so you will need to unhide hidden files for that folder. There is one other way to clear the cache adn that is to hold the shift key when you start the game but manual deletion is probably the best bet. I've had the fatal error thing once after about 14 hours of solid play on a huge map approaching modern ages but the crash didn't repeat because I purged the cache before restarting. Me thinks it's a good idea on huge maps to save every so often, quit the game and delete that cache because there's something screwy with it.

I still don't believe the manual setting for the pagefile will help much, if at all.
