So, I dug civ 4 out of my box of belongings and decided today would be the day I try playing Civ online. Yay, sounds fun. It says I must download and install the patch. I do this and it says "The application has failed to start because D3DX8_32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
Now, here's my problem. I wasted my time uninstalling Civ 4 and Re-installing. Downloaded the patch again and installed. It gave me the same error message.
"Civilization4.exe - UnableTo Locate Component" and "The application has failed to start because D3DX8_32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"
I would love some quick help on this. I've got time to kill right now and would rather be online playing than wasting my time figuring this problem out. Thanks for the help in advance.
