Patch installed... Scrolling problem

OK... so i went ahead an installed the patch, the second version... and now i have a problem i DID NOT have before i installed the patch. The dreaded scrolling problem. how the hell do i correct this? I have only reloaded a game i started and played without the patch... does this have an effect? please help

If you have a geforce card download the latest detonator xp drivers. (not just for windows xp).

I have a dell inspiron 5000e laptop

PIII 750 -- 128mRAM

standard grahics/sound cards...

any help in getting rid of the scrolling problem would be great
