Patch upgrade on the pitboss servers?

Anyone have good/bad feedback regarding upgrading DirectIP pitboss games with the patch that just came out?

I was able to load a v200 direct ip save using v208. I`m not currently hosting a pitboss game......... whats more of a problem is that the fixed version_v200 pitboss app we are using needs to be updated for v208. It seems they may have fixed pitboss in vr208. I loaded up a test game with it and joined it took a turn and watched the clock run.............

I've read enough about successful upgrades that I'm going to do it now as well - only catch is, apparently you need to blank out the admin password for the game in order for it to upgrade, but I don't see any way to do that. Can anyone help me with that?

I was running a successful direct IP pitboss game with the v200 FIXED server. Since patching though, my players keep receiving "version does not match" errors (even though they, too patched their own copies).

Does anyone know of a FIXED pitboss server for v208?

This is sure crummy of Firaxis to ignore the problem, even in a patch.

The pitboss that came with the patch should be correct version.. at least it was for me

On my pitboss server, I ran the patch executable, but nothing seemed to happen. Maybe I just need to download the patch and install it separately (I installed via the pitboss server's update notification, instead)?

I'll give that a try and report back.

That did the trick! Downloading and running the patch independant from the pitboss server seemed to cure things. Thanks!
