PBEM help

hi all,

Every time I try and send the file within the game to my friend I keep on getting this messege.

Failed to send email
SMTP host. smtp.mail.yahoo.com
To: friend@friend.com
From me@yahoo.com

I do use Yahoo! for my email. So where could it be going wrong? Have tried it with both firewall enabled and disabled with the same result.

I don't believe Civ 4's auto-e-mailing feature supports webmail services like Yahoo. You'll have to send them manually, or use an e-mail address from an ISP, like Cox and the like.

I use a mail server that I control, and I connect to the Internet via T-1. Sometimes the in-game email works, sometimes not. I can discern no pattern. Today it's running just fine - yesterday it wasn't.
