Peaceful Early Game

Does anybody find this one remarkable, large map, 7 civs and I didn't get a single tiny bit of conflict until almost 1700 A.D.

Needless to say with this amount of time to expand, any resistance to my domination was futile.

Heh, heh, this is one of my favorite strategies. Try to keep the peace, peacefully expand, research, discover mobile warfare (or Robotics if it is required), build barracks, produce tanks (if necessary, howitzers), then release them onto the poor fools. Hard to do in MGE though, the AI is very hostile.
