Yes, would like to know about increasing virtual memory.
Well, I'm not good at informatics, but despite that and my poor English, I'll try to explain that.
Virtual memory is a kind of memory that your PC can use, taking phisical memory from your Hard Disk and converting it in something similar to RAM memory. So the bigger your Hard Disk is, the more memory you can have.
You can configurate a range of MIN - MAX virtual memory, but the way you must do it depends on your Windows version. You can search on Google "Configurate virtual memory in WIndows XP/7/10/..." and you'll find how to do it in your computer.
In my case, I've chosen a range between 50000 Mb (min) and 350000 (max), but the range you chose is related to your free memory in your Hard Disk, if you have little free memory in your PC, it probably doesn't work.
When I began my gameplay last January with v37, I hadn't modfied virtual memory range yet, and despite that the game ran with very few MAF errors, when I got Industrial era, the game became more unstable, so I tried different options to fix that: I reduced graphics level from high to low and I selected the range of virtual memory I told you before. And surprisingly it worked!!! Now I'm in the galactic era and I only have a CTD once every 100 turns.
Of course, I also have good RAM memory (8 GB), but when I played v36, I had the same RAM memory and I never went so far and CTD were really really annoying (I had to save twice or three times in the same turn).
To be honest, I thought the reason why the v37 works better, was that you have improved C2C and fixed most of bugs. I don't know if virtual memory could help to avoid MAF errors or CTD, but if my experience could help you, I'll be pleased to do whatever you need.
