Okay, I'll start with my specs:
AMD Athlon 2400+ 2GHz
~700 mbs of RAM
NVidia GeForce 2 MX/MX400 64mb vid card
EPox 8RDA3I nForce2 MB
The problem is, that the game is SLOW. I know, i know, my vid card basically sucks. But still, in the beginning of the game I get FPS around 8-11. C'mon! How much there is work for vid card (even for crappy one), when only things visible is some terrain and two units? Funny thing is, that the performance doesn't drop during the gameplay. I still get the FPS of 8 at the end of game. Usually whole screen is full of units cities and buildings by then.
Could this be civ 4 issue or does my hardware just suck? tweaks and tips would be helpful!
