Either way,

"Portuguese is the sole official language of Angola, and 80% of the population professes fluency in the language.[12] Additionally, nearly half of Angolan households speak Portuguese as their primary language, and native Bantu languages have been influenced by Portuguese through loanwords.[12]"

and that's just Angola. As I've said, beyond Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde and São Tomé Portuguese is a bit like English in India - even though more Angolans speak Portuguese, proportionaly, (at least 80% - we're speaking of fluency here) than Indians speak English.
