Sorry if this has previously been discussed and I'm just going over old ground but does anyone have an idea why 'Oxford University' is going to be in Civ4. In the last game we had 'Newton's University' and last time I checked Newton, like me, was a Cambridge man. It's not really important, and I know the Americans have a thing about Oxford because of the Rhodes scholarship, but... is it really necessary to be incidentally partisan?

((Please note, this isn't going to make any difference to me; I'm going to buy the game as soon as it comes out, but be sure this'll be modded back to the more universal 'Newton's University' when I do.))

I get the feeling that Oxford University is 'as well' as Newton's University-but I could be wrong. Personally, though, I would love to see a 'National University' as a national Wonder-to represent your Oxford/Cambridge, or your Harvard/Yale schools. Just IMO.

Hey Faboba, I'm a cambridge man as well. I think we should boycott the game until they put us in instead of the scum. I really think Firaxis will listen to us and it wouldn't be the worst excuse ive heard for not buying the game

I am going to change it to Salamanca's University, or Mexico city university (the oldest in North America), and then, play and post some games in CFC with that names.

And, of course, although we complain a lot, we are going to buy the game anyways. Don't we go to the cinema to watch even more poorly made movies? Why do they care to do things correctly if they have huge profits being so lousy?

Some people involved in making the movie made money hand over fist... The people who lost money on that investment have more than enough to throw around without a worry.
