I had been getting thenoption of JPEG or bitmap when I captured a pic. Now I only get bitmap. What got changed and how do I undo it?

What hardware is this? Webcam? Digital camera? Digital camcorder?

Also, what brand and what model is it? Every manufacturer nowadays have their own brand/style of video capturing software. The best bets of actually finding out what to do with your camera is either reading the manual one more time or search for articles/forums that discuss your camera.
