Yea I been busy. School, work, and I was playing Medieval 2 total war. Good game by the way. I liked the different units that were included. Mamluk cavalry, russian cavalry(druiz...), bedioun, etc. Then for the last couple of weeks I have been playing the latest version includes many new units and features. I have to say this mod has come a very long way. Over a year already in the making.
Well anyway, a week ago I seen that a new expansion was to be released. Its great that you are converting.
I was not aware that memory allocation errors and other such things was becoming a huge issue. I was reading on tech support on this forum and was reading up on this. I have experienced these failures and extreme delays in turns before. That is why I dont play the actual world map for this game. I seem to have save games be as large as 1700kbs(or something like that-i am a computer novice

).
That was the reason I always supported the idea of having different maps. I.E. map of Europe, Americas, etc..(something along those lines) to get by. INorder to speed the game up and aviod different failures I would shut down barbarians, lower graphic settings to lowest, Shut off effects and set everything to single graphical unit. I hated doing this but I wanted to play various huge maps and even bigger maps like 180 x 120.. I find that the realism world map is not as big for the many civs that are in the game.
Well this is a big letdown that the requirements will go up. In civ 3 maps were generally larger(huge in that game was larger then 120X 8) and in civ 4 they haven gotten smaller. This hurts gameplay bigtime.
I look forward to the eventual release of this mod on the new expansion pack. Vanilla Civ just isnt the same without this mod.
