Played Rhye's as Spain and...

... met the Vikings.

And then they kept coming up in Diplomacy as having met for the first time. This happened a few times.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Also, I made contact with Netherlands and Germany but they both dropped off from the list of leaders?

All in the same game.

I had the same thing with Portugal.... and with all the civs I already met (Spain, France, HRE, Dutch, Mali and Arabia AFAIK )

Well, going by the Warlords version of the mod, you need Embassies to keep in touch with them. Build those and you'll maintain permanent contact. Embassies will be destroyed if you go to war, however, so rebuild them after peace (or vassalage) and contact will be maintained. In theory.

I'm building embassies, ok that could solve that problem. But the other one is still there.
