Player name change when loading a mod?

I normally change my name to "Lord Thomas" or whatnot when playing as opposed to the ZXFRADTYAH-1 or whatever my computer is defaulted to calling itself. I just noticed that when calling up a saved game from a Mod it reverts back to the computer name and not what I was called when I started the mod. Is there anyway to correct this?

Yea, just hit ALT-D and you can change it back.

Is there a more permanent solution? I find it very impersonal as well as annoying to be referred to a collection of numbers and letters!

If you go to the config file under the my documents tree...you can permanently change it.

Another method is to quit to main menu and reload. For whatever reason, until someone told me about the config file thing, that fixed it.

I Had tihis happen once and only once, when I loaded the save game from the original game. You have to load the game, then load the Mod, then load the the saved Game. This has always given me the name I picked at the beginning.
