Playing MP with different XML files

In my one of XML files I made nukes require 4 uranium instead of 1. If I play a MP game with somebody who still has it on 1, what happens? Are there any conflicts that lead to crashing of the game or other problems?
 
Yes although Civ5 doesn't have a file check like Civ4 did, if all players don;t have the modded files you will have desyncs/OOS all the time.

Is that why our civlization loading screen kept coming up? we never got to late game to try nukes

Does that mean that if everybody has the same changes to their XML-files it'll be playable?

In other words: Can we play a 'modded' MP game this way?
(And with modded I mean: Changes in XML-files, etc.)

I'd assume that's what he meant.
 
Yes from what I have seen from testing and other players reports, if everyone uses the same modified files then you should be ok. Though that assumes the mod doesn't cause any unknown issues itself :p
