So I get really bored at work and don't have a computer capable of running Civ V on it...is there any way to create a windowed version of Civ V that I can run on my computer at home while using the computer at the office?

Is that possible?

You could let your computer at home run, note the IP address, and then connect via remote procedure protocoll to your computer and start Civ5 there. Would need a pretty good connection, though.

Has anyone ever done this with Civ V?

No one has reported that, but remote connecting to a running PC is a standard procedure for network admins in bigger networks, so this here is nothing Civ specific, but an in general working procedure ;).

I'd think that if it was easy (or even possible) to do, that I'd hear about it, but maybe nobody is as addicted to Civilization games as I am.

I'd especially like to be able to play it in a window in which I could adjust the size of the window.

Just thought again, it's really not that easy. You'd have to create a VPN between your home computer and your work machine, that would have to get through the firewalls of your company and your home router, and since you probably don#t have admin rights on your work machine to install a VPN client...rather improbable, i guess :/.

That's what I figured...I can't even change the background on my work computer, so I probably couldn't install a VPN client.

Something like TeamViewer (or similar program) should work for you. You do not have to install it but you need fast internet connection. And playing games at work? Not good idea at all.

I can play games at work...been doing it for years. I essentially am tied to my desk for 8 hours a day, but am unsupervised for most of it and usually finish everything I need to do for the day within a couple hours. I like them to be windowed just in case someone comes by, but I've actually played CTP2 here before.
