So that you don't get 100s of stupid AI offers every single turn. I have my left hand permanently hovered over the "Esc" button now when it's not my turn so i can mash it 10 times to reject demands. (And before that I didn't think about using the Esc button and had to manually click, ugh.)
Can they please create a "trade policy" UI where you can specify what you are and are not willing to trade, and that you are only willing to entertain offers that include X (i.e., more than 10 gold per turn) or Y (at least one luxury good)? And you can get a reminder every 50 turns that you can update your policy if you want.
Other minor trade-related dialogue gripes:
1) PLEASE create unique dialogue text for when the AI offers you something and you accept. Right now, the text is what happens when you offer something and the AI accepts. So if an AI offers you something and you accept, it makes no sense that they would say "that is acceptable", since AI was the one who offered it! (They used to have this issue where they used the same dialogue for both AI rejection and player rejection, and then they fixed it by having two unique dialogues for each; they need to do the same here.)
2) I know they will never do this, but they need to create a new animation for when the AI offers you something and you reject it. Right now, the animation reflects what happens when you offer something and the AI rejects it (like wagging their finger with a "no-no" gesture), but that animation makes NO sense for when the AI offers you something and you reject it (it should be an animation reflecting frustration or something). However since this would create creating new animation for 40+ models I know they will never do it. It's just buggin me.
