Please help!! (Display adaptor)

okay, so Windows updated and the display adaptor isnt working, giving me the black screen after Windows splash screen. So I uninstall it, and it'll load up, but then automatically detect the hardware again and give me a funny pattern on the screen.

The hardware is built into the monitor, so I can't see any way to disconnect or get it to not detect or at least get it working. I tried to uninstall the update -- nope. Please help!


I'm in safe mode.

Edit: My adapter is Ati Radeon 200.

Edit #2: I'll try reducing the resolution/colors and see what happens. I'll edit this as soon as I can.

All right, so I managed to disable the adapter, so I'm in the horrible default one. Anybody know how to fix it? I can live with this sucky default until I get it fixed.

Monitors have integrated graphics?

Just install the latest display driver

I googled it over and over, and I can't find it. It's a ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Series. I tried to do it with the Windows thing, but it said I was on the latest.

All right, I had to go with mom for an hour or so, so sorry that I didn't get back quickly. So I installed the driver, re-enabled the thing, and it seems to be working. Now to do the reboot test -- wish me luck!
