Hi everyone, i've joined this forum because i urgently need help. I used to play Civ IV on my PC a couple of years ago, and have since changed to mac.
The other day i bought Civ IV Gold edition + BtS expansion for my macbook pro, and my brothers macbook, intending for us to play LAN or direct IP.
I'm not a techy person, and i am really really struggling.
We have both installed everything - easy
Can some kind person out there PLEASE explain in real idiots terms how we can hook up via LAN or direct IP.
So far we can't find the host's game. I just don't know what we are doing wrong. We are running the same version of the game, i have set the firewalls to allow Civ IV.
What should i do?
I've been trying for 2 days solid now, and since i have no idea what firewalls, ports or IPs really are, i am struggling to say the least.
Could somebody care to guide me through the process?
