I thought I was finally done with the Pokemon hype, but I had alot of money and a sad looking GBA, so I bought Pokemon Ruby.

WHAT A GREAT GAME! Its fun and challenging, more so than Blue/Red/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal.

DONT BELIEVE THIS IS A BAD GAME BECAUSE OF THE DUMB CARDS, SHOW, ANIME.

I hate all those but I love this game! :)

SO anyone looking for a fun entartaining game get Ruby/Sapphire today.

You might sell us on the game a bit better if you actually told us about it ;)
all I can figure out from your post is that "People say it sucks, but its good, so buy it"

Contrary to popular belief, Pokemon the Franchise is still alive and rolling. Ruby/Sapphire combined with SP and Wind Waker sales have put Nintendo into the top spot in the US. There are people who claim they're over the pokemon series, and that they think its just a waste of time. They burn the cards, they trash talk about it. Of course they know that they secretly want Ruby/Sapphire.

But then again, IMHO it is not worth it. Let's see, 386 pokemon, only 206 possible to catch? Team Rockets gone? No revisiting Johto/Kanto (which to me was the best part of Gold/Silver)? From what I hear, the drawbacks are just too great. I might possibily get it when the Gameboy Player comes out, but its unlikely.

-2 0n 2 Battles
-Team Magma/Aqua
- NEW POKEMON
- Pokemon contests
-New Gyms
-PokeNav
-New Moves
-A cute physic guy named Spoink

You might sell us on the game a bit better if you actually told us about it

I'd get if if I can. I do believe it is a good game, I like all the previous versions. I don't hate pokemon in anyway, I would be lying if I said I disliked it in anyway. All the corruption it caused is still not convincing me to hate it.
People hate pokemon for their own reasons - painful ones I bet, they do not secretly want it or play it (2 years ago I bet there were lots of people like that but not now).

Considering that 4 million copies have been sold of Ruby/Sapphire in Japan (two million each, twice of Final Fantasy X-2), and in the two weeks of March Ruby/Sapphire sold one million copies (Wind Waker sold 860,000 in one week), and Ruby/Sapphire is sitting at the top of GameFAQs as the top FAQs as of right now (check for yourself at www.gamefaqs.com ), I say quite a few people still play Ruby/Sapphire in secret, especially since it's so much easier with the GBA SP

EDIT: Looks like Wind Waker beat Ruby/Sapphire again. Well, Ruby/Sapphire was at the top. ;)
