Poll: GoTM for FfHII

anybody interested in participating in a game of the month contest for FfHII?

The more I read about the different strategies, the more I realize how many aspects of the mod I haven't experienced or tried yet. A game of the month would be a nice opportunity to compare the different strategies and gameplay.

What do you think?

By the way, this is a thread just to get this idea started and see if there is some interest in a GoTM for FfHII. However, I don't have the experience to organize it, so if enough players show interest in this, perhaps someone with experience in GoTM could take the lead? Anyone interested in the job?

UPDATE: A poll is up to choose a civ for GOTM-I. Go to http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=193165 to pick your civ. if enough players participate in the poll this weekend, the game should be up early next week. I will create the thread and the save file.

That's a good idea. It's basically just rolling up a game and posting a save on turn 1.

A nine-zero unanimous vote for going for it as of this post. Maybe it could help rally some publicity for FfH while we're at it. I'd suggest the having the first one be a game as a Civ that is rarely used, but still flavorful. Admittedly, most of the Civs with lots of new features are the popular ones, but the Khazad might be a good choice, as would the Clan of Embers (both have some interesting features and no votes for them in my poll).

Oh gosh yes, I would totally do this. Would there be different levels, like on the regular GOTM? Because, I can't even do the newb level on those. But I'd still like to try my hand.

What is a GoTM ?

Game of The Month - it's a competition run monthly by civfantics admins; they create a map, choose difficulty and civs and so on, then let the community play it from turn 0. The aim is to win the fastest, but they give awards for other achievements like highest score.

I think a FoTM would be a great idea.

I'm in. It would give me a chance to play civs I never do (Clan, for example)
