I can't understand why so many people are starting as americans.. Americans are not even a civilization. USA is just a mix of the whole world.

Their Praetorians seem strong. And Caesars traits could be very usefull.

With Civ 3 I got into the habit of choosing the same civs all the time, I am gonna make sure I don't do that with Civ 4 by choosing random quite often

I like the Greeks as well, in fact I love everyone.

Indians with Asoka. Finally an actual indian leader who i can be historically correct and kick butt with. I mean gandhi was always a terrible choice because indians have been around for so long that why would you pick the 20th century icon? Same for chinese. Cleopatra was a greek. Finally they're doing this right.

As a Chinese myself, I'd have to go with China. And I'd play with Qin Shi Huang (unless they really did cut him, which would completely ruin my impression of Civ4). Finally, I'd be able to play China and not use Mao. I've always felt he's a terrible representation of China's heritage, and he isn't exactly a loved historical figure in most places.

I am definitely starting as the Americans! Good ol' G.W. as president (that's George Washington, not the current G.W.) I can't wait to try out the new navy seals unit.

I think I'll go for America for my second game. I want to try out the navy SEALs. At some point I should mod in a GW Bush leaderhead. It would make for some interesting games in multiplayer......I bet I'd be a target for alot of players. I could use a chimpanzee for the leaderhead and use military and corporate leader traits.
