hi,
does the yellow bulb at the top left corner of the info box imply 'low pollution' ?

thanks:)

I've never noticed that before... I'd like to find out what it is.

If you mean the yellow cirkel, somewhat brighter in the center than in the edges, than yes. It represents a sun and can get three colors, yellow, orange and red. You don't want to let it become red. Lots of terrain changes because of global warming will then occur.

Reduce city pollution (Mass Transit and Recycling Center) and don't use a lot of nukes if the color becomes orange.

Succes with your game.

Speaking of pollution, what causes terrain changes from pollution? I just had a game where I was getting global warming warnings every turn despite never having any polluted tiles, and have had other games where I got NO terrain changes, despite having to rake up polluted tiles left and right for years.

Global warming is caused by city pollution(the little triangles in the city) and nukes. I don't think that the number of polluted tiles is a cause of pollution, it is more of a result. That's a change from civII where global warming was caused by polluted tiles.

I wish you had the option of turning of global warming...well you sorta do, you can modify setting "terrain" and decide what terrain global warming turns it into...
