The evil AI culture victories really spoke to me.

Glad you could relate to the topic in the sense that you can see your own gameplay experiences reflected in our discussion. :) It helps let us know that we are on a right track...

Out of curiosity, was this the first PC episode you have listened to or have you been an occasional or even regular listener for some time now?

Is this our Methos or a different one? :dubious: Because you have two registered at your site, but the other one doesn't appear active enough to be in a Polycast. :p

I just find it odd that you'd have a CFC moderator on Polycast............

Yeah, someone over there stole my nic, so I had to register as Methos from CFC.

 Believe me, I was extremely surprised myself when I received the invite. One thing I'd have to say, is I had a lot of fun and would gladly do it again. Hopefully next time (if there is one), I'm not so nervous at first. I'd also like to thank DanQ and our Poly friends for letting me be a part of it. Thanks guys! :goodjob:

It's true we've never had a CFC moderator on the show before, but we have had a few modders whose activites are concentrated in CFC's and not Apolyton's forums. PolyCast is a Civ podcast for the entire Civ community, not just Apolyton. :)

The surprise was a pleasant one, I hope. :mischief:

 -- we enjoyed having you on the show, and would gladly have you back. :yup:

Hopefully next time (if there is one), I'm not so nervous at first.
If a first time guest co-host claimed not to be nervous, I wouldn't believe them. Heck, we regulars can still get anxious from time-to-time...

I'd also like to thank DanQ and our Poly friends for letting me be a part of it. Thanks guys! :goodjob:
You're welcome, and thank you for being apart of it. :king:

First episode...19 I think? Or 18. And since then I regularly listen to them as they are released.

Just listened to it also. Keep up the good work! I seem to be hearing some unwanted background noises in the podcast though, as if there was some music or someone talking muffled? Anyone else get this? Maybe it's my headphones or insanity

On a side note: if we're all going to start sharing our first polycast experience... first one I listened to was 21 or 22, and it was due to DanQ posting at CFC (a good idea I must say).

Believe me, I don't oppose it at all. :D Anything that contributes useful material to the Civ franchise I regard as good. It's also a very clever way to drum up interest in Apolyton... :mischief:

Hrm? ;)

Just listened to it - great as usual
Thank you kindly. :smug:

It sounds like you started listening regularly when threads on episodes began being posted here on CFC's forums -- that was #18.

If you have an opportunity and interest, I recommend our archives though I would probably recommend going in reverse chronlogical order. :D

Appreciate these kind words as well.

No, that's not your headphones or insanity ... there is more background noise in this episode than usual (in comparison to recent months' worth anyway). We approached recording this episode to address a minor, lingering issue but ended up creating several bigger ones that were not realized until editing; as we're set to reverse course on that front though, this hopefully won't occur again at least to this extent.

As it was this episode went through some more intensive editing than usual on my part -- and that's saying something :mischief: -- to address the unintended and unwelcome results so that the background noises were not (too) detracting. It was most of the reason why this episode's release was a little delayed.

On a side note: if we're all going to start sharing our first polycast experience... first one I listened to was 21 or 22, and it was due to DanQ posting at CFC (a good idea I must say).
:) -- I offer the same recommendation with advice to you as I did for Gyprsn. :yup::D

Ah I see... so I'm not that insane. Hmm, I gues I'll have to take the recommendation then. :goodjob:
