Hello.
I've been reading through the various resources on Civ Fanatics for the past few days, thoroughly impressed with the wealth of information. Something else has caught my attention and I figured that it was worth five minutes of my time to make mention of it here.
This website represents a truly great example of good things that can come from the internet. It seems that invariably, as the internet provides a means for people to hide their indentity, civility (pardon the pun) is somehow lost. You cannot troll a place like Slashdot, for instance, without seeing war after war on the same topics. I think that is pretty indictive of the nature of the internet.
But on this site, people actually seem united to one common goal -- the enjoyment of Civilization. The most outstanding example of this I can think of is with two of this site's most popular mods - Sn00py's and Womoks. Clearly they had the opportunity to become rivals, as they were essentially attempting to provide the same product. Instead, I have read several posts from Sn00py offering Womoks constructive criticism and outright praise, to which Womoks seems impressively receptive. How refreshing is that?!
Anyway, I am not familiar enough with your BB to know how my post will be received, but to me this was five minutes well spent. I have thoroughly enjoyed (and have made good use of!) the information on the Civ Fanatics site, and the helpful nature of the people on this BB were too overwhelming to not at least try to recognize it.
Good day.
Mike Puskar
