Possible to center mini-map?

Is it possible to center the mini-map on your capital when using cylindrical maps? I've searched the forum with no luck. The map starts centered until you clear enough of the fog of war, then it zooms out to a set center point. I hate having my territory run off the sides of the map. I guess I could just switch to flat maps if not.

P.S. the new menu/interface graphics and colors in .34 are awesome, thanks for that Kael&co. It's the biggest 'oohh&ahhh' moment i've had with ffh since my first run in with Acheron

I think this is hardcoded Civ4 functionality. But I'm not sure.

Perhaps give the player's palace a free "center map on this location" upgrade if that is possible?

It isn't fog of war but unexplored terrain and it works the same with flat or cylindrical or toroidal maps.
