Post a picture of your empire

Opies, that map looks quite flat. Out of curiosity, what map setting were you using?

The most productive :) warm/wet/5billion

There are much more mountainous regions of the map, this area happens to be very very flat.

Also, check out this area of the map. No wonder everybody wants it!

2x horses

Here is where I am now, 1230 AD:

My "Foursquare Empire" shortly after its defeat of the ancient enemy Sumeria. Later wars would see Germany reduced to a rump state.

I recently included a land war on the other continent, freeing the Byzantine people from the stench of Indian imperialism. Now all Byzantine cities are in Byzantine hands. Now that India has been cut in half, I'm sending my troops into Babylon to eliminate my other industrial competitor. I don't doubt my ability to win the space race, but preemptively squelching the competition will allow me to take it easy in the end-game.

I figured the best way to win culture was to produce a hundred cities and put temples + cathedral + library in all of them. I didn't think I would win at the start. Playing my first culture game on emp was kinda silly of me

@ Opies ... very nice

That's basically how to win by 100K Culture in spades.
