Post your Windows 7 + Civ experiences please.

I got past the installation issues and hve actually run one full game of Civ 4 on my new Windows 7 computer. Yeah!! The only issue I can find is that I cannot find a "regerate map" button on my first turn. Very strange. If anybody has any clues on that one I would be curious.

... ... brings up options, regenerate map is one of the buttons

Both require you to be in 4000 BC.

I am having the shader problems, and i am a n00b with messing with games, so what should I do? I also can't un-install civ 4, I have deleted the program files and the stuff under my games, but I still can't uninstall the game. I also can't get 2 folders to delete for some reason, I am really desperate for help right now.

Found out how to use Mods in Windows 7. It's not enough to activate Admin mode when installing the mods, you have to activate admin mode through regedit command. On the safe side, reinstall the entire game after this including mods (and even safer while installing mods to right click Admin mode).

Just spent the last half hour trying to find out how to fix the mods not launching problem, and even though this was posted months ago, thanks for the help. You've saved me the problem of starting a new thread which people may or may not respond too.
