Posting images

If there were FAQ on Site feedback, I'd post it there, but I'm totally driven crazy about posting images. I watch everyone adding images to their messages without any "http"s, when I click "add image" some http-beginning is offered, and I'm unable to use some files from my own computer. They say there should be a Browse button somewhere, but where the ?!?!?!? is it?

Below the box in which you type your message, there should be Attach File with Browse off to the right-hand side.

But as far as I understood attaching file is attaching a hyperlink to download it, but it is not shown and btw, size limit is 2,5*10^5 and I think some of the images are of a higher size .

When you upload your file (with the browse button), and the upload confirmation box pops up, view the new uploads folder, find your file, and to see the link right click the file and select properties. Highlight the link which is shown in properties, press ctrl+c, click the img button for your post, and press ctrl+v. That should do it.

I think you mean the image code... by putting [/img] and

Attach will show GIFs, PNGs, and I think JPGs and JPEGs, all other files will be links.

You can also use Upload File (link at bottom of page) and put the adress in the IMG tag.

Thunderfall prefers if the attachment is not used, though, that's why he added the upload feature.

What you should do is this:
Step 1 - Upload the file using the upload file system
Step 2 - Type the following line in your post:
[IMG*]http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads2/name of uploaded file[/IMG]
(without the *)

Now the uploaded image is shown in your post.
