Interestingly, Ville's post here has post id 979 953 - a difference of 20,000 posts with the reported number ! Anyone know what's up with that as surely the number of posts doesn't move that fast ?

The postcount on the main page doesn't count the hidden mod forums.

We are actually just over 980,000 posts atm, you can check it by clicking on a 'Post #x' link and replacing the number at the end.

Ah, but they've been around for three more years than we have, haven't they?

Edit: And assuming you're going by PostID (like we are for CFC), then the fact that OT posts don't count towards posters' postcounts doesn't make a difference, AFAIK.
