Pregenerated Save for America?

Hi,

Do pre-generated saves still exist (I remember there were some long ago)? I tried the America save here: http://rhye.civfanatics.net/wiki/index.php?title=Rhye's_and_Fall_of_Civilization_starting_savegames

However, it fails to load (says something like it couldn't uncompress game data). So does anyone have an up to date pregenerated start for America?

I would really appreciate it! I'm sure others would too: it's quite annoying to have to wait for it to load only to discover that it is impossible to win due to some other civ building the Statue of Liberty.

If it can't uncompress the game data, it's likely that you're not using the correct version. What version of Civ/BTS/RFC are you playing?

Also - MacOS or Windows?

Aha! I was playing Civ4 through Steam, and assumed it automatically installed all the updates. Apparently it only updates the game itself. It doesn't update any of the mods (which makes sense I guess).

I updated RFC manually and the save works. Thanks for the hint!

I would, but I'd rather play with a WBed historically-accurate start.
