It's a very irritating problem I'm having by now !
My Civ 4 games used to work perfectly but since a few times I can't reload my games ! At the moment I'm playing a gig map since many hours and previous save and backups, and the whole civs are very busy. TROUBLE ! suddenly my saves refuse to load anymore ! The load goes up to the final box screen... wait, wait.. I see the game cursor on a black screen... and crash back to windows !
The windows event log shows an event number 4137 ? Anyone has an idea ?
My PC is a laptop Dell xps M170 with a geforce 6800 ultra. The funny thing is that I'm able to start a new game and play without problems....
