Prince Level Sucession Game

I decided to follow the rules and do the standard 20 turns to keep this game going.

(1) 390 BC - Pasargadae produces Settler and starts another.

(2) 370 BC - Arbela produces Barracks, starts Settler. The Zulu are destroyed by our forces.

(3) 350 BC - Susa produces Worker, moves to Barracks. Palace expansion.

(4) 330 BC - Tarsus is founded (this Settler was on GoTo so I assumed the location is expected). London grabs the Pyramids. We lost by over a dozen turns, so there wasn't much I could do to prevent it. Switch to Great Library.

(5) 310 BC - Gordium founded in the south, trying to grab all that land for us.

(6) 290 BC - A fur square is mined and we move to another. Polytheism learned and Map Making is ordered in 12 turns at no income.

(7) 270 BC -

(8) 250 BC -

(9) 230 BC -

(10) 210 BC - Pasargadae creates Settler, starts another.

(11) 190 BC - movement

(12) 170 BC - Arbela produces Settler, moves to Granary.

(13) 150 BC

(14) 130 BC - Antioch produces Temple, moves to Granary. Bactra is founded near Silks in the south where the Spearman was. Susa creates a Barracks, moves to Granary. Gordium creates a Worker.

(15) 110 BC -

(16) 90 BC - Persepolis builds the Great Library and starts a temple.

(17) 70 BC -

(18) 50 BC - Map Making comes in. We start Monarchy at minimum science with mid 20s income at the moment. I'm guessing that most of the techs we need are already owned by the other civs on another continent. Susa starts the Great Lighthouse. Sidon is founded.

(19) 30 BC - We see a ship adorned with red on our shore. It is Caesar of the Romans. He demands a ton of money, per turn money, and Literature for two contacts... I hold off for now.

(20) 10 BC - Caesar drops a settler pair down in the far north next to two silks... not what I was expecting at all, I don't think we can stop him from settling there. This is probably the only bad thing that happened on this turn, unless you count the Pyramids (although that wasn't my fault).

The next leader gets to deal with Rome, try to manage building the Great Lighthouse, and should try to get Granaries everywhere. We will need military again soon... I cut it off after knowing that the continent was cleansed of AI civs, but here come the Romans. If they made it across, perhaps the Great Lighthouse is not needed, the next leader should check.

Another big point is to deal with the Romans for the contacts and let the Great Library kick in so we can race to the newer governments.

That should be all, good luck to the next player.

got it, will play tommorow

Ummm... ZImbabwe was in a bad spot, building a settler to abandon and move it. Did anyone do this? I left notes about it.

if no one did ill mark it down for tomorrow and do it then

For tomorrow? What tomorrow?
This game seems to have died.

Naervod said that he's dropping out of all succession games he's been in. So it would be Tiamats turn now.

OK, now that I know naervod is dropping out, I will play my turns tomorrow.

Persia SG

10 BC (Turn 0) - Change Zimbabwe to Settler, stop growth for move of city. Rome wants almost everything we have for contact.

10 AD (Turn 1) - Antioch switched to Settler to claim open area with Silk NE of Sidon. Scientist moved from Antioch to Intombe.

30 AD (Turn 2) - Zimbabwe completes Settler, Zimbabwe abandoned. Persepolis completes Temple, starts Spearman for MP units. Tyre founded NW of former Zimbabwe location. Gordium switched to Temple, Worker was to be completed in 1 with growth to 2 in 3 turns. Rome still being unreasonable regarding Contact. Embassy established with Rome, they have a Settler in production and another waiting in the city. We'll need to settle the open areas of our continent soon so they don't get any of them.

50 AD (Turn 3) - Exploring NW of Intombe reveals an American Galley off the coast. Lincoln also being unreasonable regarding contact. Will let GL kick in to see what we get first.

I - GL gives us Philosophy & Code of Laws.

70 AD (Turn 4) - Persepolis commpletes Spearman, another started. Antioch completes Settler, starts Granary. Bactra completes Spearman, starts Library.

I - Rome & Iroquois sign a Military Alliance against the Aztecs.

90 AD (Turn %) - Trade Literature to Rome for Contact with Iroquois, Territory Map, & 47G. Trade Literature, World Map, 2G to America for Contact with Germany. Trade Literature to Iroquois for Contact with Aztecs. Trade Literature to Germans for Contact with England. Trade Literature to Aztecs for Territory Map, 34G. Trade Literature to England for Territory Map, 1G (all she has).

I - GL gives us Math & Republic.

110 AD (Turn 6) - Persepolis completes Spearman, starts Settler. American Galley appears headed to open area SW of Gordium. Revolution has overthrown the Persian Despot.

130 AD (Turn 7) -

150 AD (Turn 8) -

I - Rome & England sign Military Alliance against Aztecs.

170 AD (Turn 9) -

190 AD (Turn 10) -

210 AD (Turn 11) - Republic of Persia founded. American Settler lands on furs SW of Gordium. Sardis founded near Silks & Fish NE of Sidon.

I - New Orleans founded on Furs SW of Gordium, need to get a city near there to try a Culture War.

230 AD (Turn 12) -

250 AD (Turn 13) - Sidon completes Worker, starts Library.

260 AD (Turn 14) - Persepolis completes Settler, starts Spearman.

270 AD (Turn 15) - Pasargadae completes Granary, starts Galley. Aztecs complete Great Lighthouse beating us by 37 turns. Susa switched to Harbor with no shield Loss. [dance]

280 AD (Turn 16) - Susa completes Harbor, starts Galley. Pasargadae switches to Spearman.

290 AD (Turn 17) - Persepolis completes Spearman, starts Spearman. Arbela completes Granary, starts Temple.

I - Iroquois starts Hanging Gardens.

300 AD (Turn 18) -

I - GL gies us Manorchy, start research on Currency.

310 AD (Turn 19) -

320 AD (Turn 20) - Persepolis completes Spearman, starts Hanging Gardens. Pasargadae completes Spearman, starts Immortal. Germans start Hanging Gardens. Samaria built SW of Gordium, starts Library to begin Culture War with New Orleans.

Summary - There are 2 Spearman north of Persepolis, they should be sent to Tyre & Sardis. There is another Spearman next to Sidon to become that city's MP. We really need to start working on our military, we are considered weak against most of the AI civs.

Here is the status of our empire:

Persia SG 320 AD

Sim_One did nothing, so I got it.

I'm rejoining my own game. I'll go after Erik. Can someone give me the roster plz?
Oh yes, sorry about the abrupt dopping out.

I am having problems with the file, there may be a delay...

Turn 0- Establish embassies.
Germany has JUST started Hanging Gardens, 34 turns to go.
We have 34 turns to go, so I change some tiles around.
The Iroquois have 3 happy ppl and *6* entertainers!!!!! They are having a big war weariness hit!
England has 3 entertainers, 3 happy and 2 unhappy.
America is building a library in the capital.
The Aztec capital has 3 entertainers and nothing else!!!

Checking F4, I see that the aztecs are at war with the english, the romans and the iroquois.

I buy wmap from germany for 215 gold.
They wanted 170 and our wmap, so I bought theirs for cash and will now sell wmaps around.

We have a total of FIVE workers!! Worker building started!

Turn 1: Changed Sidon to Library. I set up the science rate. Min Sci will not get us currency.

Iro's and Aztecs sign peace. Drat.
Turn 2: Nothing much happens.
Iros and England sign peace. Cmon, make some useless war!
Turn 3: A library completes in a tundra city.
TUrn 4: I keep the HG project running.
Turn 5: Culture borders expanded at FP Sidon. 64 turns left.
Turn 6: Romans land some more settlers on our island. I move immortals up for a short and brutal war.
Turn 7: Currency discovered! Constrcutions started
Our mighty immortals capture Ravenna and raze Viroconium! I foresee few gains in this war, only sovereignity of our island.
TUrn 8: 400 AD. Civ3 crashes. I tell the file to f*** off.
Huh. 4 failed unzips, and now the game crashes... Luckily I had an autosave.

Then Civ3 crashed again. Bother this, someone else can try this.
Hint: Bring 3 workers down to Persepolis, merge the zulu worker into it, work 2 hills for an extra 7 shield. This will nearly DOUBLE our shield output with 7 extra.

Ok, this was the order:

naervod
Tiamat
falsfire
Erik Mesoy
Firestarter

flasfire dropped out and Sim_One replaced him, then naervod dropped... so

Tiamat
Sim_One
Erik Mesoy
Firestarter

Then, Sim_One dropped out and naervod came back, wanting the spot after Erik.

So, I believe the order as it stands is this:

Tiamat
Erik Mesoy
naervod (playing)
Firestarter (on deck)

I hope this is right. Perhaps everyone in this game should just check and make sure, and let's edit the first post with the new roster.

Thanks.
