(0)1900AD: Preflight Check... Uh... You guys know that signing a defensive pact with someone will upset their rivals right? Well, I can't complain, because I didn't know either (never used DPs...).
Ok, let's see... Saladin is the runner up in population. And Cyrus is Friendly with him (as opposed to just pleased with us). However, Catherine is Friendly with us, so we basically have her vote. Frederick is pleased with us, but annoyed with Saladin, so that's good too. Monty is not on good terms with people, so he'll probably abstain (unless we kill him, which would be a waste of resources).
We still don't have military tradition (for our own DPs) and no one will trade us for it, except Cathy, and she wants Electricity (haha). So I will try and reserach it this turnset.
Did a tour of the cities and arranged them for growth as best as I could (more votes is always good).
We're not trying for a culture win, Saladin would pummel us anyways, so why are we going to wait 25 turns after Rome finishes Wall Street to build Broadway? We would lose it by then. I notice our shield heavy city Antium is working on a machine gun. It will finish it in 1 turn, and it just started, but why do we need the machine gun? Switch it to Broadway in 12 turns. Now we stand a realistic chance of getting it.
IBT: Saladin wants to trade hit musicals for gems. DANG IT! NO!
(1)1902AD: Ardea is a rather poor production city. I start it on an observatory in 21. By then the gold it is making should have increased. Ostia starts a University. It will probably start starving before it finishes it, but I want to take advantage of the gold production. We'll get the aquaduct later. Observatory for Teno too. It makes almost as much gold as it does beakers with the 80:20 slider

.
Temporarily boost science to get Radio next turn so I can start on something else.
(2)1904AD: Modern Era. Quite cool
Military trad in 2 turns so we can make a pact with Fred. Then we go Mass Media for the win
For some reason the money for cancelled broadway comes in now. Change Antium to rock and roll in 11. We just got radio and we have a monopoly on it. Might be able to get both associated wonders.
Notice our GP sitting around. Ok, not being useful. The prophet is geniunely useless, other than as a super spec, and the scientist is for computers, a tech that we aren't interested in right now. Let's start up the golden age.
(3)1906AD: Rome has nothing to do. Eiffel Tower for fun. A jail finished in Cumae. Why do we need a jail? We're not planning on fighting any time soon. However, nothing else better to do at the moment. Drydock for giggles

. Karakorum starts a theatre in 1 turn. Tlatelolco starts observatory.
(4)1908AD: Military Trad is in. MASS MEDIA IN 3! I would go biology to boost pop, but that can be done AFTER Mass Media. We want to start the build ASAP.
I'm running out of things to build. Drydock in Kara... Observatory in Malinalco...
We have reached Fred with the Missionaries. Will get to work with them...
Oh gosh... Fred doesn't like us enough to sign a DP with us... Cyrus will sign one with us though. Let's do that. Hopefully we can get him to free religion too. Good. He's friendly with us now.
(5)1910AD: Drydock for Neapolis... Colosseum for Tlaxcala... Granary for Teayo...
I should've checked before, but I assumed you guys did... We CAN'T spread Buddhism to Fred because he's in Theocracy! All of our missionaries are useless, because anyone who we need to convert is theocratic. Great...
(6)1912AD: Out of things to build for now... Cumae on bunker. Viro on Observatory. Granary in Tarentum.
Cyrus will trade us rocketry, but I don't see the point, and I'd rather keep important stuff like Electricity to ourselves...
(7)1914AD: MASS MEDIA IS IN! Start Biology for the farms.
Teno starts a temple... Rock n Roll will take 4 turns to complete. Antium is THE city to build the UN! Do it there ASAP!
I decide that trading with Cyrus is a good thing. I give him electricity for Artillery, his world map, and 30 gold. Deal not equal, but hopefully he'll give us his vote.
(8)1916AD: Neapolis drydock is done. Arbitrarily decide that 22 turns is not too long for Holywood, and I set it on that. Karakorum on a bunker... Teayo needs courts!
(9)1918AD: Bio comes in. Here comes growth! Now let's see... what should we research? Communism for state property sounds good. Lower the upkeep and lower the maintenence. I don't know if Permanent Alliances are enabled, but Communism enables that as well...
Cumae builds a Stupa for fun. Increased culture

. Setia in dire need of a bank. Tlaxcala starts bunker. Satricum can have a theatre.
(10)1920AD: Satricum switches to research mode. Feel free to cancel when something worth building comes up. Ostia is stagnant due to health, so throw up an aquaduct. Malinalco starts a university. Start a theatre in Tenochtitlan. Courts in Tarentum.
Ok... Synopsis. More unexciting turns. I've converted MOST specs over to work the fields, those that aren't are probably scientists right now. With biology in, we want to work as many farms as possible and still have good production and research output.
The current wonders we have in progress should easily be ours. Saladin doesn't even have the tech yet. Heck, I think we have a monopoly on Radio and Mass Media.
I did notice that we have some mines and lumbermills that don't have railroads on them yet, and some without even roads! I tried to fix that problem. Remember that railroads boost mine production. Antium is done with Rock and Roll next turn, and it has the UN right behind it in 13 turns.
On the diplomatic side of things... we only really need worry about Cyrus. Frederick does not like Saladin, so he won't vote for him, he'll vote for us if anyone. Catherine is Friendly to us and only pleased at Saladin, so she should vote for us. Now, the problem with Cyrus is that he is +10 to us, but +15 to Saladin, due to the religion and Civics. If we can get him into Free Religion, it would work, but he's not moving right now. I also doubt we'll get Saladin to drop his civics that Cyrus likes so much. But if they can be paid off to do that later on, then do it. We need the votes.
That's about it... I don't know what civics that Cathy and Fred and Cyrus like the most, but we might consider switching to the ones we aren't in already, if the oppertunity arises.
