Let's see game facts:

Prince, Large, Lakes, Epic, 9 Civs, Incan(random selection) - I achieved a Domination Victory in 1985, with a Normalized score of 13927 and an Abe Lincoln rating. The best I had got before was like Chamberlain.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I attribute this to 4 factors. Being much quicker in building my initial 8 cities. Good locations for my initial cities. Building Wonders to crank out Great Engineers and Scientists, I use the engineers to rush wonders and the scientists to build academies. Better early technology selection.

I achieved such a massive technology lead that once I was able to trade rarely would anyone trade with me!!

I just rolled over everyone once I started to take cities. And the farther along I just got stronger, larger, farther ahead in tech, and basically was just a monster. But, Domination victory is A LOT of work!

So next, is to win on Continents, also I would like to pull a Diplo and Cultural win though it seems a Cultural win has to be very hard. Then I'll move on to Monarch.

try other leaders, other maps, and see if you manage it or not.

If you want to try a cultural win, start a game with Saladin (vanilla) or Gandhi (warlords).
It should be easy enough for you to get the hang of it and see in your next games if you could try it or not.
