Can someone explain this picture. As you can see, in city view the list over other civs is also vissible, so I can't change the specialists that are under there.
Anyone know what's wrong. I guess that it is some .xml file in the custom assets folder that is in conflict with the allcivs1.61 mod.

thanks for helping.

If you got any mod pre-1.61 then that is likely to be the problem. Mods made before the latest patch cause all sorts of problems like this so move/delete them out of the folder and hopefully it will clear everything up.

I have the same problem, but only with "vanilla" Civ. If I run a mod, it works correctly. The little score screen not only makes it impossible to adjust specialists, but it also slows down my comp or totally freezes if I open the city screen.

I completely wiped my civ directory, including all of the info in My Games, and reinstalled and it still did it. Then I installed the mods I play, one at a time, and tested them. They all worked fine.

My drivers are all up to date; if anyone thinks they can help, I can post my dxdiag info.

Thanks.

It is very probably a mod problem. Or a problem with civ cache and mods. Try clearing the cache directory, some hidden folder somewhere under "application data" I think. Or press shift during civ startup (that should avoid cache).

Also (obviously) patch the game.

I don't see how it can be a mod problem when it does it with a clean and patched install. I've been thinking about rolling back my ati driver to the previous iteration, but then it'll cause problems with my other games. I didn't know about holding shift to clear the cache when it starts, maybe that's it. I'll try it now.

Edit: nope, that didn't work.

Okay, I fixed it. Before when I uninstalled I apparently didn't do a thorough-enough job: I neglected to get rid of the folder in My Documents/My Games. I thought it was only for save games and so i left it, but it also has a folder for custom assets. Now I can play vanilla civ again, and my mods still work correctly. :goodjob:
