Problem running Rise

I downloaded the program, patch, and hotfix, and installed each one in that order. I started the launcher and chose to the run the game. At some point, I received a message saying something like “private maps not found.” I clicked through it and the game loaded up normally.

I chose to play now to start a new game. I clicked through my map options and the game was being loaded. Then it crashed.

Is there some sort of “private maps” error that can be rectified?

well ... my guess is that "Rise from Erebus\PrivateMaps" folder is missing and when you try to start a game, it crashes because it can't find any mapscript ...
try to reinstall the mod
